In My Heart

What's in my heart?
Do you really want to know?
There's blackness there
And often it reigns supreme
Is there light, too?
Only that which was brought by you
There's love for you
That being its' driving force
There's great anger
Towards past crimes against it
There's strong distrust
For any, and all, but you
It bears great scars
Which are slowly fading away
With your sweet touch
You are the balm for its' pain
There's a new hope
A belief in love's power
Put there by you
Nurtured daily by your love
And now, there's peace
The knowledge it's fin'ly home
Held in your hands
What's most in my heart? You are.
