People often ask me which of my novels they should start with. Good question, and the answer really depends on a lot of factors. Generally speaking, though, if you like series, I have three books in the "Strange Bedfellows" series ("Strange Bedfellows," "Three's a Crowd," and "Victoria's Very Awkward Love Story"). "Third" may be good if you like historical fic and/or sci-fi. It's also a Lammy and GCLS finalist--if you put stock into awards. My latest novel, Silence Out Loud is now available! I really loved Cheryl, and I hated that I wasn't able to use her as thoroughly as I wanted to in Squire's Isle. I kept slipping her into stories, but I wanted to show the aftermath of the novel. Which was kind of hard since only a handful of people actually had a chance to actually read it. Well, now that has changed! This novel is kind of a throwback for me. Remember when I wrote sweet romances about ordinary women who struggled with real-life stuff? No werewolves, no demons, just relationships. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Ariadne or Riley. Just that this is where I got my start, and it's nice to look back. And considering how this was set up, following a woman through a very important time in her life, I think it deserves some credit for how Radiation Canary went down. The prototype, as it were.
So I hope you enjoy it! Look forward to seeing more of Cheryl in future Squire's Isle stories!
