Adrift
Tonight I drift alone on an endless sea
As far as my eyes can see, there is no one
I cannot see the shore;
the horizon is merely a distant
blur
However, it is not solitude that I feel, but desertion
All of those near and dear to my heart have turned away
In my time of need, no one reached out to me
Should my lonely vessel capsize, no one will hear my
cry for help
And as I sink into the watery depths, no one will even
notice I am gone
