THE MUSES' SANDBOX: A MISSION STATEMENT

As children, many of us spent hours in our sandboxes, creating castles, cities, cakes, beaches, treasure mines, and the landscapes for epic battles, molding these magical play spaces to fit our ever-changing dreams.

The Muses' Sandbox is another such place, a special space in which we periodically will gather together with some of the top authors in the Xenaverse to dig below the surface of their work and build bridges between these established bards, bards-to-be, and their readers.

Each sandbox session will feature a different theme -- as we actively explore the variety of writing the Xenaverse inspires and continue to add new dimensions to our understanding of how this exciting genre is evolving.

My role as moderator is to present the theme and related questions to authors who have accepted the invitation to comment about their stories, characters, plots, backgrounds and personality nuances. My aim -- to share with readers the diversity and creativity that infuses this enterprise.
